ABOUT

After nearly a decade designing websites and delivering digital projects professionally, I launched Macast Media in 2025 to combine that experience with the personal service every business deserves.

Why I Started Macast Media

After years working on websites, e-commerce and digital projects in industry, I realised many sole traders, small to medium businesses and organsiations faced the same challenge.

They wanted a professional online presence, but they didn’t want to feel like just another ticket in an agency system.

I started Macast Media to offer something different: direct communication, honest advice and professional websites, graphic design and print from someone who genuinely cares about the outcome.

When you work with me, you’ll deal with the same person from our first conversation through to the finished project and beyond.

MY STORY

2000s
Early Interest

My interest in design and technology started long before Macast Media.

Even as a child, I was fascinated by computers and enjoyed creating posters, presentations and anything visual. I even ran a small front-porch sweet shop, making signs and adverts to promote the latest offers. Looking back, it was probably my first experience of branding and marketing.

I've always enjoyed taking ideas and turning them into something useful, and that same mindset still shapes the way I work today.

Education

Choosing computing at school felt like a natural step, leading me to study computing, software development, digital graphics and web production at college before completing a First Class BSc (Hons) in Computing Digital Media Development at University.

During my studies, I became fascinated by how people interact with websites and web applications. That curiosity led to my final-year research project, where I was the lead author on a peer-reviewed paper co-authored with three researchers. The work was featured at the INTERACT 2017 conference in Mumbai and published as a chapter in Springer's Lecture Notes in Computer Science book of conference proceedings, making it part of a published academic volume that's available worldwide in both print and digital formats.

That experience reinforced something I still believe today: good design isn't just about how something look. It's about creating something people find intuitive, useful and enjoyable to use.

Professional Experience

After university, I joined a large construction and PPE supplier, where I spent more than seven years working across digital marketing, e-commerce and website management.

During that time, I progressed into roles with increasing responsibility, working on website redesigns, customer portals, printed catalogues, digital marketing campaigns and large e-commerce projects.

More importantly, I learned that businesses don't just need attractive websites. They need practical digital solutions that build trust, support customers and help their business grow. That's an approach I bring to every client today.

Macast Media

In January 2026, I launched Macast Media to bring together my experience in websites, graphic design and digital marketing while offering a more personal service than many larger agencies.

Today, I work directly with startups, sole traders and small to medium businesses across the UK, creating professional websites and marketing materials that help businesses build trust and grow with confidence.

What matters most to me is simple: honest advice, quality work and long-term support. No jargon, no being passed between departments. Instead, just one person who genuinely cares about helping your business succeed.

When I'm Not Working

Music has always been a huge passion, and I enjoy playing guitar, bass, drums and piano. I’m also a lifelong fan of The Beatles and enjoy discovering new music.

I’m interested in psychology, mindfulness and human behaviour, and I find that understanding how people think helps me create websites and designs that feel intuitive and easy to use.

I also enjoy photography, giving me another creative outlet and has helped me develop a stronger eye for composition, colour and detail, skills that naturally influence my approach to design.
